Guitar Lesson - The A Minor Chord

Here's a quick guitar lesson on how to play the A minor chord, with one version I'd teach the youngest students we teach, and then the usual 'full' chord.

This chord is a really important one to learn, and it does have a few challenges. The most important thing to focus on is simply getting the fingers in the right places. Then when you can do this consistently, start thinking about the sound:

Are you on your finger tips?

Is any finger touching the string below the one it's on muting it?

Check every string and make sure they all sound out nicely.

When happy, can you now start using the thumb to mute the pesky low E string?
