Guitar Lesson On How to Play the G Major Chord

Hey! Hope you are great today and ready to learn.

Here's how we play the G major Chord, often just called 'G', going through from an easy version for little fingers and complete beginners that only needs one finger, up to the most common three-finger 'full chord' version.

If having guitar lessons, think about the first one as the starting point, first ever book level, up to Rockschool Debut style grade. Then we get to the second one which is also used in Debut but slightly harder as it uses two fingers (the G5), and we finish with the full chord that is first introduced around grade 1.

Of course there are other variations you'll continue learning as you progress: the barre chords, the CAGED shapes an so on, but this is where we start:)
